We are a family-run business founded on the three principles of delivering exceptional quality, value and service. Country Valley Foods started out in 1971 as a meat wholesaler and has developed into a major fresh meat and food service supplier. However, those early principles still remain at the heart of everything we do. We work closely with farmers, livestock markets and suppliers across the North of England to guarantee products of the highest quality. Country Valley Foods is accredited with BRC’s outstanding AA rating which reflects our insistence on maintaining the highest food management standards. We are also proud to be part of the Sterling Group which allows us to remain keenly competitive across a wide product range.

 Country Valley Foods offers an extensive range of fresh meat, dry goods, chilled, frozen and janitorial supplies to the retail, hospitality, education and healthcare sectors. Strength Through Co-operation

Founded in 1966, the Sterling Supergroup is a true member’s buying co-operative, with 39 wholesalers and an annual turnover in excess of £350 million. The membership consists of family owned wholesale companies located throughout the United Kingdom, supplying thousands of catering outlets.
Product ranges supplied include a full range of ambient, frozen, fresh & chilled foods, and non-foods.
The wholesalers within Sterling support a national promotion programme arranged by the Head Office but retain their individual identity.

Sterling Supergroup Constitution

The Group is controlled by a board of members elected annually by the membership at the AGM. Regular members meetings are held and an Annual Conference takes place in September. All members are equal shareholders, irrespective of the size of their company. The Group Head Office is non-profit making and all income is paid out in full to members.
